The opportunity
We're seeking an Associate Medical Director or Medical Director to join our growing Promotional Medical Education team. This is an exciting opportunity for a scientifically driven medical communications professional who is passionate about developing impactful medical education programs for leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients.
Working closely with clients, cross-functional teams, and scientific leaders, you'll lead the development of compelling, evidence-based medical education content that supports brand strategy while maintaining scientific integrity and compliance.
This role is ideal for candidates with established experience in promotional medical education, scientific communications, or medical affairs communications, including individuals currently operating at the Associate Medical Director level and those ready to step into a Medical Director position. Candidates should bring a strong track record of scientific leadership, client partnership, and strategic contribution within a medical communications agency environment.

Role responsibilities
- Lead the scientific development of promotional medical education initiatives across multiple therapeutic areas (Rare Disease, Immunology, Oncology, and Infectious Disease).
- Partner with clients to understand communication objectives and translate them into impactful educational strategies.
- Develop and review a broad range of medical education deliverables, including slide decks, training materials, advisory board content, congress-related materials, digital assets, and promotional education programs.
- Provide strategic scientific counsel to internal teams and clients.
- Ensure all content is scientifically accurate, compliant, and aligned with client objectives.
- Mentor and support junior scientific team members.
- Contribute to new business activities, including proposal development and pitch participation.
Do you have what we are looking for?
Skills & expertise
- Advanced scientific degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent).
- Medical communications agency experience required.
- Strong experience within promotional medical education, scientific communications, or medical affairs communications.
- Experience leading client discussions and providing strategic scientific guidance.
- Excellent scientific writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to interpret and communicate complex clinical data for a variety of healthcare audiences.
- Experience working across multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced agency environment.
